School Psychologist Supervisor

Compensation: $80K–$85K per year

Job Type: Full Time. Monday–Friday. Day shift.

Our client, a school dedicated to supporting children with disabilities, is seeking a School Psychologist Supervisor for their Queens, NY location. This role provides both clinical leadership and direct service, overseeing a team of School Psychologists while maintaining a lighter caseload.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision, guidance, and support to a department of 3.5 School Psychologists, including oversight of workflow, evaluations, compliance, and clinical quality.
  • Assist in hiring and onboarding efforts with the goal of adding two additional full-time psychologists to the team.
  • Conduct psychological evaluations and gather social and developmental histories for children ages 3–5, as needed.
  • Note: The supervisor maintains a caseload and may complete evaluations when the department is short-staffed, when staff call out, or when an evaluation is urgently required.
  • Prepare clear, comprehensive diagnostic and psychological reports.
  • Offer evidence-based recommendations and collaborate with therapeutic teams to develop effective interventions.
  • Participate in treatment planning, feedback sessions, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Foster positive communication and collaboration among supervisors, staff, and families.
  • Ensure full compliance with all government regulations, agency standards, and best practices.
  • Provide group and individual counseling, as well as parent training, in alignment with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Attend IEP conferences, annual reviews, and other required meetings.

Job Requirements:

  • Certified School Psychologist
  • Proficiency in the Behavior Assessment System for Children-3 (BASC-3)
  • Prior leadership, supervisory, or team coordination experience is highly preferred
