Sales Account Rep

  • Fast growing meat distributor is expanding the sales team and is looking for a protein sales rep toe help expand the Chicago and the Midwest territory
  •  MUST HAVE PROTEIN OR PRODUCE SALES EXPERIENCE TO GROCERY

 

Responsibilities:

  •  Sell various proteins to new and existing customers. Includes asking questions to pinpoint the best offerings, giving demos or presentations, and maintaining customer relationships.
  •  Reach out to leads through a variety of channels, such as email, phone, text, and social media.
  • Negotiating with leads and using persuasion techniques to overcome objections and landing deals that are beneficial to the company, while also providing customers with optimal value. 
  • Participate in company meetings with sales managers and other sales reps. Involves providing a recap of recent results and accomplishments. 
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts across large and small grocery chains

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of sales experience or account management from the protein industry selling to grocery stores
  • MUST HAVE knowledge of various proteins or produce; ideally meats, fishes, pork, chicken, lamb and related
  • Proactive
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Hungry to go after new business
  • Team player
  • Self-directed
  • Motivated by commission sales

Preferred experience:

  • BS/BA in Business, Operations, Economics, or related
  • Bi-lingual English / Spanish is preferred
