The Electronic Systems Technician Apprentice will service and support the electronic systems and equipment. Employees in this classification assist the Electronics Systems Technicians (EST) install, program, and service equipment and equipment peripherals in the electronic systems. An Electronic Systems Apprentice will follow the direction from the EST assigned to train him/her and will receive leadership, guidance, instruction, and assistance from these individuals as well as the Electronic Systems Managers and the Director of Technical Operations. Servicing and supporting the electronic systems and equipment will require travel to other facilities as needed to support operations. The work assigned may be performed internal or external to any building or structure and at great heights. These tasks may be performed over roadways, over waterways, on towers and on, in or under bridges. Employees in this classification are considered essential, non-exempt employees and are subject to call twenty-four (24) hours a day, as may be required to maintain continuous operation of the equipment and systems.
Note: One of the requirements for this position is being able to occasionally work at extreme heights (up to 440 feet).
