Location: Taylor, Michigan (90% Onsite / 10% Travel)
The Procurement Manager – Americas is responsible for overseeing all procurement activities within the PC Americas region. This includes supplier negotiation, strategic sourcing, cost reduction initiatives, supplier development, and compliance with global procurement standards. The role ensures 100% material availability at the lowest total cost of ownership while meeting quality and sustainability objectives.
· Lead procurement operations for the Americas region, including coordination with facilities in the U.S., Mexico, and Brazil.
· Negotiate contracts and pricing with regional and local suppliers to secure continuous supply and cost savings.
· Manage categories such as DINP, fillers, solvents, packaging, and procurement tools.
· Execute global and regional sourcing strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives.
· Perform market analysis to identify supply risks and implement mitigation plans.
· Evaluate and develop new suppliers to ensure competitiveness and quality.
· Conduct Target Performance Comparisons (TPC) bi-weekly to measure performance and savings.
· Collaborate with global procurement and plant management to align sourcing initiatives.
· Lead procurement process improvements and ensure compliance with company policies.
· Support special projects such as make-or-buy analysis and cost recovery programs.
· Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Inventory Control, or related field.
· Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in purchasing or logistics, preferably within the automotive industry.
· Proven experience in OEM automotive supply chain management.
· Strong knowledge of global and chemical purchasing.
· Advanced Excel skills; QAD or ERP system experience preferred.
· Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
· Strong leadership and organizational abilities with the capacity to work under pressure.
· English required; Spanish or German language skills are a plus.
