JOB DESCRIPTION: PARTS MANAGER
As a Parts Team Manager your job will be to Manage all aspects of the Parts Department. We believe getting away into the wilderness can be essential to living a fulfilled life. It is this view that drives us to guide our fellow Metro Detroit citizens into the RV Experience. The Parts Manager’s daily goal is to get customers units back to them without interrupting their camping season.
Responsibilities:
• P/L Parts Department
• Maintain customer profiles to ensure a smooth transition between departments.
• Maintain proper parts inventory.
• Proactively order needed parts.
• Document all parts properly on the work orders for billing.
• Updates bin checks/cycle counts and inventory in the computer.
• Communicates delays and progress with internal and external customers.
• Returns phone calls, e-mails, and texts promptly.
• Tracks lost sales and back-orders.
• Retrieve, document and process all warranty parts in a timely fashion.
• Organize department so parts are easily identifiable & accessible
• Pre-pull parts proactively for tomorrow’s jobs.
• Meet with Service Advisor/Manager to review schedule a few days in advance.
• Unload and process shipments properly.
• Ensure parts pricing allows for a healthy margin.
• Replenish parts inventory proactively.
• Keep obsolete inventory to a minimum.
• Keep parts as secure as possible.
Qualifications:
• Elite Leadership Skills
• Experience in a management position at a RV Dealer for at least 2 years.
• Passion for camping and the great outdoors.
• Honesty - this is the number one quality of our Dealership.
