Career Transitions seeks a detail-oriented Corporate Staff Accountant to join a finance team. This on-site role is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.

The ideal candidate has demonstrated analytical skills, experience with AP/AR, month end, cash management and a keen eye for accuracy.

What you are doing as a Staff Accountant:

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and financial statement preparation.
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and work with management to resolve issues.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Support the preparation of tax filings, audits, and compliance documentation.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.
• Work closely with accounts payable and accounts receivable teams to ensure accurate reporting.
• Maintain and update financial records in accounting software systems.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

What you need as a Staff Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate setting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
