Shift Availability
·
· Night Shift: 5:00 pm to 5:00 am
· Schedule: 2-2-3 (36 hours one week and 48 hours the second week)

Role Overview
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will support without hesitation General Plant Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives, and Good Manufacturing Practices with an understanding that these are absolutes and are the #1 priority.
Essential Functions
· Develop and train technicians
· Act as floor leader and be responsible for the full operation of the plant
· Must be able to make decisions on their won to maintain plant operations efficiently
· Supervisor is expected to complete all tasks with tools that the company provides (CMMS, hand tools, training, etc.)
· Delegate maintenance responsibilities corresponding to the maintenance goals and PM compliance.
· Oversee, instruct, and assist when necessary: projects, line calls and breakdowns.
· Find, assist, or order parts needed to complete jobs
· Review all work orders to ensure that they are completes as soon and as accurately as possible
· Validate work order data, monitor work order aging and control work backlog
· Assist planner in scheduling routine overhauls, equipment modifications, and department projects
· Provide prints, drawings, or documents required to accomplish jobs
· Work with Reliability Manager on updating preventative maintenance details and schedules to improve the equipment reliability
· Make recommendations on needed replacement of equipment/components, based on factual data from the CMMS
· Supervise the activities of team members to ensure they are working safely and efficiently
· Supervise the recovery of equipment failure within area through management of maintenance resources and effective communication with Production and Maintenance management
· Give timely feedback, coaching and mentoring to team members to help maintain or improve expected performance
· Provide and promote a strong safe teamwork environment
· Identify potential cost savings and cost avoidance
· Provide shift report daily
· Perform other job-related duties as assigned by maintenance management
· Adhere to all safety and company policies, actively contributing to a safe work environment.
· Ensure assigned machinery operates smoothly and without issues.
· Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
· Monitor the performance of machinery and analyze system data.
· Document maintenance activities and compliance with safety standards.
· Support the company's safety and quality programs.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
· Must value safety as a deliverable
· Capable of interpreting diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications
· Computer literate
· Electromechanical troubleshooting (Ex: controls, components, controls wiring diagnosis, etc.)
· PLC Diagnostics and experience preferred
· Robotic controls
· Mechanical comprehension and functional understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drives, motors, bearings, fasteners, fittings and hardware
· Field device knowledge such as smart eyes, photo eyes, micro switches, proximity devices, encoders, reed sensors, ultrasonic, retroflected, and reflective, etc. preferred.
· Electrical control safety devices and installations preferred
· Process equipment controls knowledge for troubleshooting and installations preferred
Daily Physical Demands
· Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
· Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolds, and to bend or crawl into tight spaces.
· Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds.
· Navigate job sites in various weather conditions, including wet and slippery surfaces.
· Wear job-specific PPE as required.
Qualifications
· Experience: Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a production environment.
· Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
· Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with all levels of operations and maintenance Leadership
· Strong knowledge of PM project management skills, knowledge of Bakery Equipment operations
· Must also have the ability to provide hands on leadership and contribute directly to the overall success of the bakery
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
· Effective communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written.
· Basic familiarity with computer systems and maintenance management software.
