Integration Oversight Lead

Job Location-Fully Remote 

Overview:

Varada Consulting, LLC is seeking a full-time Integration Oversight Lead that will support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program and provide VistA/Cerner expertise to interface and application development/configuration efforts. Collaborate with the system integrator and provide expertise to ensure the interface or solution design and development meet VA requirements. Support interface or solution design, development, testing, and cutover planning from a technical perspective, including technical analysis of interface or solution design artifacts, such as Interface Control Documents.

• Manage a portfolio of interfaces and plan a timeline for transitioning to sustainment.
• Gather, collect, and populate data for the VistA and Non-VistA legacy application cutover and transition templates.
• Engage with existing legacy system owners, business owners, and Cerner.
• Coordinate and support various meetings, create meeting minutes, track action items, and follow up.
• Create and manage plans for interface decommissioning.
• Identifies and remediates/escalates technical challenges, gaps, and risks/issues.
• Applies knowledge of routing, filtering, and transformation of message traffic through middleware or data sharing standards, such as HL7 to create or provide input to technical COAs, architecture, and technical documents to drive decision-making by government.
• Work independently and solve technical issues under general direction and prepare briefs for senior government leads.
• Provide input to process design, documentation, and improvements as needed.

Minimum qualifications

• 15+ years of professional work experience
• Must create strategies and plans for integration of multiple IT systems/subsystems into an operational unit, ensuring full functional and performance capabilities are retained. 
• Coordinate with development and user teams to assess risks, goals, and needs and ensure that all are adequately addressed. 
• Must be experienced in introducing new hardware or software into a new or existing environment while minimizing disruption and mitigating risks. 
• Must be cost-conscious as well when addressing goals.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or an equivalent, or an additional 8 years of experience, may be substituted for degree requirements 

Preferred qualifications:

• VA experience preferred
• Experience implementing Electronic Health Records
