Global Program Manager (Ford)

Location: Milford, MI

Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000 plus bonus, car allowance, excellent benefits

 

SUMMARY

Lead/Manage all aspects of Ford programs (internally and externally, local and international) from program inception through the life of program. Drive activities with the internal and external program teams to successfully meet or exceed timing, financial and customer expectations.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Focal point between the company internal Ford program teams and Ford customer teams.
  • Global coordination and / or leadership of existing and new projects including change management.
  • Generate and maintain program documentation - timing plans, program plans, open issue documentation, customer tracking documentation, QCWF (Quality Cost Weight and Function), etc.
  • Communicate Ford program details to all departments.
  • Anticipate Ford’s needs and respond appropriately.
  • Manage and/or direct preparation of a thorough and robust program plan that is harmonized with the Ford vehicle program timing.
  • Execute and maintain tier-2 supplier control and sync them to the company’s programs goals and objectives.
  • Consults with leadership and key team representatives, and reviews Ford program proposals to determine goals, timing, budget/funding constraints, process/procedures for meeting and exceeding program, staffing requirements, and allotment of resources.
  • Develops Ford program plans identifying targets, plans, staffing, scheduling, risk identification, contingency plans, and allocation of resources.
  • Formulates and defines the technical scope and deliverables for Ford programs.
  • Identifies and schedules program deliverables, milestones, and tasks.
  • Assigns duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to Ford programs personnel.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of Ford program personnel to ensure programs progress on schedule and within budget.
  • Establishes specifications and procedures for program reporting and documentation.
  • Reviews status reports prepared by program personnel and alters schedules and schedules as required.
  • Prepares program status reports and keeps leadership, Ford customer teams, and suppliers up to date on program status and related issues as required.
  • Consults with company personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems related to Ford programs.
  • Responds to requests for changes from original specifications and plans and implements corrective actions.
  • Monitors Ford programs results to technical requirements.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 years of experience working with Ford as a tier-1 Program Manager.
  • +7 years in Program Management.
  • +7 years’ experience working with Automotive complex mechanical systems (stampings and assemblies).
  • Bachelor's degree. Prefer engineering. MBA a plus.
