About Us: 

We’re an emerging telecommunications start-up focused on modernizing critical infrastructure with real-time antenna intelligence to slash field service costs and enable data-driven operations. As we are looking to grow, we are seeking an individual who will work directly with the founder to grow our sales pipeline and capitalize on opportunity. In this key role, you will lead the content development, grow the prospect pipeline, secure new contracts, and help define our sales strategy as we grow. Our candidate will ideally be located in the GTA.

You are a best-in-class sales hunter and leader with deep telecom industry experience, comfortable navigating the fast-paced sales environment and able to understand complex industry terminology. You thrive in environments that require agility and creative problem-solving and turning ambiguity into opportunity. With a proven track record in hunting new business, driving revenue growth, and optimizing sales processes, you are passionate about building and scaling a sales division and creating strong customer relationships. You’re excited by the challenge of shaping the future of telecom infrastructure and positioning our company as an industry leader. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Sales Strategy & Leadership: 

  • Define and execute a comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) strategy, including the selection and optimization of sales channels and the targeting of high-value prospects. 
  • Develop and implement effective pricing models that align with market demand and maximize profitability.
  • Drive pipeline growth by identifying new market segments and expanding our customer base through strategic outreach and relationship-building.
  • Build a high-performing sales team, establishing clear goals, tracking performance against KPIs, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and results-driven execution.
  • Own the sales cycle and lead the charge in closing new business.
 

Industry Expertise: 

  • Use deep knowledge of the telecom industry to identify emerging trends, market opportunities, and customer pain points.
  • Position the company and solution as a thought leader and trusted partner within the telecom space through strategic market insights and customer-focused solutions. 
 

Sales Process Optimization: 

  • Identify and define the sales cycle, optimize processes to develop efficiency, leverage data and feedback to implement best practices and streamline sales for scalability.
  • Ensure alignment across all sales efforts and continuously improve conversion rates and sales cycle times.
 

Revenue Growth: 

  • Take a hands-on approach in identifying and nurturing key accounts, driving strategic opportunities, and negotiating high-value deals to achieve significant revenue growth.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers to ensure business expansion and long-term customer loyalty. 

 

Data-Driven Decision Making: 

  • Create analytics and performance metrics to inform decisions, forecast sales performance, and adjust strategies for maximum impact.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the executive team on sales performance, pipeline health, and market dynamics. 

 

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, retention, and upsell opportunities.
  • Drive a customer-first mentality across the sales team to ensure that customer needs are met throughout the sales cycle and beyond. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Experience: Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the telecom industry and B2B enterprise sales, with at 5-10 years in senior positions. 
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of telecom products, services, and market dynamics, with the ability to position the company as an industry leader. 
  • Strategic & Tactical Expertise: Strong ability to balance high-level strategy with day-to-day execution, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to directly contribute to sales efforts.
  • Results-Oriented: Demonstrated quota-hitter with success in growing revenue, driving new business, and consistently exceeding sales targets in a competitive and fast-paced environment.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and close complex deals.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and achieve objectives.
  • Mindset: A team player that can navigate through ambiguity and build a sales department from 0 to 1.
