This position presents an excellent opportunity for an early career electrical engineer seeking professional growth and skill development. As an integral part of our team, you will contribute to a range of projects in electrical engineering, including bidding, performance assessment, quality management, and production. This role will provide valuable experience and mentorship, allowing you to enhance your skills while closely collaborating with I&C, design, and field teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute engineering tasks diligently and professionally, including consultation, design, equipment selection, coordination, safety review, planning, and others as required
  • Work closely with clients to develop and implement projects
  • Prepare proposals for new projects
  • Provide written project progress reports to clients and management as necessary
  • Manage assigned tasks under the guidance of the supervisor

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:

  • Strong organizational and people skills, allowing for effective teamwork and smooth departmental operations

  • Ability to handle and review multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in client interaction and stakeholder management

  • Familiarity with SKM modeling software is advantageous
  • Understanding of power supplies up to 4160 volts for facilities, including power provider requirements
  • Knowledge of MCC (Motor Control Center) equipment
  • Familiarity with oil and gas treatment and processing operations
  • Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to effectively convey ideas and transfer knowledge

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering
  • EIT (Engineer in Training) certification, if not licensed as PE (Professional Engineer)

Experience Preferences:

  • Professional Engineer license
  • Electrical Engineering experience in the Oil and Gas Industry

Operational Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
  • Some travel required (approximately 10-20%)
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Extended periods of working at a computer in an office environment
  • Site visits to refineries, chemical plants, drilling platforms, manufacturing plants, gas processing plants, and pipelines during construction and operation
  • Climbing as necessary to access process towers and equipment using ladders and stairs
  • Ability to use supplied air devices in potentially hazardous atmospheres
  • Occasional entry into confined spaces
  • Possession of a valid driver's license for passenger cars and light trucks
  • Ability to drive a car or light truck
  • Proficiency in operating a cellular phone
  • Ability to walk at least ½ mile across uneven terrain
  • Ability to carry at least 20 pounds for 1/4 mile
  • Readiness to quickly mobilize from locations during hazardous gas, liquid, or operational discharges or upsets
  • Ability to comprehend complex documents in English
  • Clear and effective communication in English, both in person and over the phone
  • Ability to create clear, accurate, and understandable documents and emails
  • Ability to work nine (9) or more hours per day as necessary
  • Ability to work in refineries, chemical plants, gas processing plants, and other potentially hazardous processing plants
  • Proficiency in utilizing hotels, restaurants, public transportation (airlines, buses, rail, subways, etc.), and navigating unfamiliar roads and cities
