A manufacturer with a diverse business mix at a profitable site is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee their quality department. Daily, you will report to the Vice President and will oversee a small team of quality professionals. The Quality Manager will plan, organize, direct, and manage quality-related activities to maintain necessary quality standards. Daily responsibilities include:

Direct and maintain divisional activities related to ISO 9001
Manage lab activities, including facilitating calibration and ordering supplies
Lead root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
Develop, maintain, and improve quality management procedures and required documentation
Serve as the quality representative for the facility related to ISO
Resolve product quality issues through interaction with suppliers, sales, engineering, manufacturing, and customers
Perform supplier quality audits to ensure standards
Develop and maintain customer and supplier relations
Identify continuous improvement activities within the quality department
Track quality KPIs and metrics and complete monthly reporting
Other duties as assigned

The Quality Manager will spend up to 40% of their time on the manufacturing floor. Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment, have excellent problem-solving skills, be patient, and have excellent internal and external communication skills. REQUIREMENTS for the Quality Manager:

1. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree with at least five years of quality management experience OR a high school diploma with at least three years of quality management experience2. Experience overseeing quality management systems in a manufacturing environment3. Supervision experience4. Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions5. Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 quality management systems6. Experience with quality auditing7. Customer communication skills8. Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Skills preferred, but not required:1. Job shop or batch processing manufacturing environments2. Heat treat or metal fabrication3. CQM or CQE certification
