A growing manufacturer is embracing their WCM (World Class Manufacturing) journey and is seeking a WCM Facilitator to lead the initiatives. Daily, you will report to the VP of Operations and will lead and direct focused WCM teams, training and projects. You will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Champion, facilitate and organize continuous improvement (CI) efforts based on World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles at multiple sites within the Cincinnati area
- Coaching and developing others on WCM best practices, including delegating team champions and starting steering committees
- Facilitate activities to decrease unplanned downtime and improve OEE
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions, utilizing formal problem solving tools
- Assist with implementation of WCM and CI tools at the plant
- Facilitate, organize and perform training for new and existing employees
- Document savings and metrics of ongoing and completed WCM activities for internal communication
- Gather metrics and data for analysis and organization, including evaluating and improving KPIs
- Create project proposals and execute WCM visual aid support
- Assist with and/or lead Kaizen and 5S events
- Work with multiple departments to improve flow of processes and projects
- Support other WCM initiatives, including 5S, RCA, Kaizen, Gemba walks, layered audits, boardwalks, etc.
- Other duties as directed by management
Candidates should be passionate about CI initiatives, able to lead teams, enjoy spending time on the manufacturing floor and be able to "get people on board" with change-agent ideas. Individuals should enjoy spending 70-80% of their time on the manufacturing floor. REQUIREMENTS for the WCM Facilitator:1. A Bachelor's degree is preferred; a high school diploma is required 2. At least five years of experience in a similar continuous improvement role, with at least one to two years of WCM experience 3. Experience working in established WCM manufacturing environments 4. Exposure to quality management systems, such as ISO, IATF, etc. 5. A proven record of continuous improvement success 6. Experience with Kaizen events and 5S projects 7. Formal problem solving skills 8. Microsoft Office, including Excel
Skills preferred but NOT required:1. Maintenance and/or engineering background 2. Consumer products manufacturing3. Batch manufacturing 4. Lean and/or Six Sigma certifications 5. Power BI
