We are seeking an experienced IT Business Partner to join our client's finance team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between IT and finance, leveraging technology to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency. This role is responsible for enhancing financial reporting, streamlining accounting processes, and optimizing JDE utilization while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve financial systems and reporting accuracy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic alignment
  • Work closely with Finance leaders to understand their business strategy and objectives, ensuring IT projects align with these goals.
  • Serve as a liaison between Finance and IT, ensuring alignment on goals and projects.

 

  • Process Improvement:
  • Support teams in identifying and implementing technology-driven improvements in financial processes.
  • Enhance the journal entry workflow to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Automate key accounting processes, including monthly FX rate entry, bank reconciliation, payment runs, cash receipts, payroll entries, accruals and allocations.

 

  • Automation Initiatives and System Optimization:
  • Assess and deploy underutilized JDE system controls to improve financial data integrity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Evaluate JDE system utilization to identify gaps, recommend enhancements, and implement optimizations that drive business value.
  • Drive the automation of critical financial processes, such as those related to inventory and production, to improve efficiency and accuracy

 

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
  • Develop and automate financial reports, including work order variance reporting, monthly consumed cost analysis and fixed asset reporting.
  • Enhance reports for Inventory and Production by leveraging JDE, Insight, and Power BI to provide greater accuracy, real-time visibility, and actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Work with Finance and IT to build Datawarehouse for accurate reports – one source of truth.
  • Data Visualization:
  • Utilize tools like Power BI to create segment reports and enhance data accessibility for stakeholders.

  

Qualifications:

  • Expert level functional expertise in most or all of the following JDE modules: General Accounting, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Pricing, Cost Accounting and Manufacturing Accounting as well as experience with reporting tools like Hubble and Power BI.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in finance and reporting, ideally within an IT business partner role.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a focus on process improvement and automation.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills with experience in managing multiple priorities.
  • CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Experience in manufacturing or inventory management environments.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.
