Aspire Talent Solutions is partnered with a phenomenal CNC Machine Tool Distributor in their search for a Capital CNC Sales Engineer responsible for promoting the sales of machine tool manufacturing solutions within the Rochester, NY region. This role will build long-term customer relationships, working directly with prospects and end users on full-cycle sales activities for metal-cutting CNC machinery.As a Capital CNC Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing action plans for the effective search of sales leads and prospects to cover and support the territory. This role collaborates with Engineering, Service, Contract Administration and management to provide accountability and follow-up for our customers.Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for overall territory management, achievement of equipment sales goals, profitability and account management for assigned product lines
  • Develop and strengthen new and existing relationships with customers, prospects, and suppliers to secure new business, increase revenue, and convert competitive end-users to our products’ solutions
  • Provide technical expertise, machine tool and part processing recommendations and ongoing support; assist with time studies, deal sheets, and quotations
  • Become a trusted advisor and educate customers on products, concepts, & industry trends to drive greater market adoption; develop brand loyal champions
  • Communicate with internal and external customers to deliver on customer pre-sale needs, including but not limited to in-depth product presentations and demonstrations, automation opportunities, test cuts, etc.
  • Drive post-sales communication with the highest level of integrity and sensitivity to resolve difficult customer issues, supporting service and parts needs for outstanding end user satisfaction
  • Assist with creation of market/industry relevant information and collateral to share with prospects and customers
  • Update and maintain sales activities within CRM (Salesforce); provide accurate and timely sales forecasts to leadership as needed
  • Participate in regional industry associations and become actively involved to attract new opportunities
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry, product lines, and competitors.
  • Perform related duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Previous experience within Industrial, Manufacturing, or Capital Sales a plus; proven track record of success in B2B sales highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of CNC machine tools and technical capability preferred
  • Formal Sales Training is highly beneficial (SPIN, Challenger, IMPACT selling, Sandler, etc.)
  • High level of technical skills required, including ability to read/interpret blueprints and other engineering documents
  • Proficient with computer systems and CRMs, including Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce (or comparable) required
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout assigned territory, in addition to headquarters and other partner events
  • Must maintain valid driver’s license and insurance
