The S&OP Manager is responsible for the overall S&OP process which includes leading and managing three critical global meetings – the Demand Planning meeting, the Supply planning meeting and the Global S&OP Meeting. This person will be developing inventory and production plans for multiple client sites, managing finished goods inventory across the globe, and driving continuous improvement projects. This role requires strong leadership, communication and analytical skills, with a focus on meeting customer demand and production goals.

 

This position will be responsible for developing (with input from sales, and manufacturing) an inventory plan and production plan for production, tolling and warehouse sites. Must balance short- and long-term requirements of customers and manufacturing to assure that inventory levels and the production plan are consistent with business groups objectives, product and package profitability goals. Manage external warehouses / tolling sites, by planning production runs and managing inventory at these sites to support customer demand in addition to developing production plans for multiple client production sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and distribution process for assigned business lines, coordinating efforts across Sales,  Finance, Manufacturing, and Customer Service. 
  • Bring adequate challenge to the sales and production teams to ensure the best outcome for the company.
  • Oversee the manufacturing of tolled material; coordinate raw material movements to the sites to ensure production plan can be met.   
  • Develop production plans for multiple Resin Solutions production sites
  • Work with manufacturing sites to develop and optimize the product wheel for low cost, reliable, and timely production
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction projects.
  • Communicate demand, supply and/or inventory issues - provide solutions/recommendations and drive alignment
  • Manage finished goods inventory for responsible product line(s) to meet targets along with ensuring proper inventory health across the supply network.
  • Work with Supply Chain on logistics and supply issues for order fulfillment. 
  • Coordinate new product timing in manufacturing to maintain operating plans and supply commitments. 
  • Participate in special projects related to technology planning, product strategy, capital projects, software and business process design, and marketing initiatives. 
  • Ensure safety and compliance with all applicable laws and corporate requirements. 
  • Develop and report Key Performance Indicators for the Executive Team
  • Work in SAP to provide support for order fulfillment processes

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, or related field required.  
  • Minimum of 5 years in Supply Chain, with 3 in the chemical industry preferred. 
  • Strong data and computer skills required along with proficiency in SAP, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, detail oriented, strong analytical skills and proactive with an ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and successfully
