Compensation:
• Level 1: $24.41/hr
• Level 2: $25.55/hr
• Level 3: $28.60/hr
• Electrician Rate: $35.97/hr

A confidential industrial employer is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and bulk-handling systems. This role ensures safe and reliable operation of conveying systems, motors, cranes, loaders, and other heavy industrial equipment. The technician will also support cargo-handling activities and collaborate with operations teams to maintain consistent workflow and equipment readiness.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair bulk material-handling equipment (e.g., conveyors, pulleys, motors, cranes).
• Assist in positioning, installing, or transporting machinery and mechanical components.
• Perform stick welding, cutting-torch operations, fabrication tasks, and mechanical alignment.
• Secure equipment using bolts, rivets, welding, or other fastening methods.
• Lubricate, adjust, and inspect moving parts, safety guards, and safety devices.
• Operate tools and heavy equipment including torches, welders, forklifts, hand tools, and electric meters.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks, inspections, lubrication, and functional testing.
• Support bulk cargo or vessel discharge operations when required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in bulk terminals, ports, manufacturing, or refinery settings.
• Hands-on experience with conveying systems, bulk-handling equipment, welding, fabrication, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Skilled with diagnostic tools, precision measurement instruments, and maintenance repair practices.
• Understanding of heavy equipment operations and bulk-handling processes.
• Ability to work in outdoor/industrial environments (heat, cold, dust, noise).
• Flexibility for shift work, weekends, holidays, overtime, and emergency call-ins.
• Must demonstrate reliability and the ability to work independently or within a team.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to operational procedures.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC card.
• Must pass background screening, drug test, and physical (if required).
• Experience troubleshooting dozers, excavators, loaders, forklifts, and other heavy machinery.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems and digital maintenance reporting.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
