Anesthesiologist Opportunity

Position Overview

A well-established regional healthcare network is seeking full-time Anesthesiologists to expand their team of skilled providers. Candidates ranging from recent residency graduates to experienced practitioners are encouraged to apply. Board eligibility within five years of residency completion or board certification in Anesthesiology is preferred.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in obstetric anesthesia

  • Comfort with central venous line placement, especially for ICU patients

  • Ability to assist with airway management in both emergency and critical care settings

  • Experience in general operating room anesthesia including thoracic cases (excluding cardiac, vascular, neurosurgery, or pediatric complex cases)

  • Competency with basic regional anesthesia techniques

  • Capability to administer anesthesia to patients of all ages

There is also potential for medical directorship roles at affiliated facilities. The electronic medical record system utilized is Epic.

Call and Scheduling

  • Call rotation operates on a 1:5 basis, with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) serving as primary responders Sunday through Friday, while anesthesiologists provide backup support. On Saturdays, anesthesiologists take the primary call with CRNA backup.

  • Regular operating room hours run from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

  • The main surgical site features seven ORs daily, including both main and outpatient surgery centers.

Work Locations

Primary practice is based at a 94-bed community hospital with additional coverage responsibilities at two smaller regional hospitals offering emergency, acute, and specialized medical services.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary range: $550,000 to $600,000 annually

  • Signing bonus of $25,000

  • Relocation assistance up to $15,000

  • Annual CME allowance of $4,000

  • Licensing and professional dues reimbursement up to $2,000

  • Paid time off totaling 240 hours annually

  • Professional malpractice insurance with claims-made coverage of $2.3 million per occurrence and $6.9 million aggregate, including tail coverage

Compensation is influenced by experience, qualifications, specialty, internal benchmarks, location, and contractual terms. Variable pay incentives such as productivity bonuses or value-based clinical incentives may also be applicable.

The system works collaboratively with local health departments and community agencies to promote disease prevention, improve healthcare access, and elevate overall community wellness.

Network Facilities

The network comprises three hospitals and numerous outpatient specialty and primary care clinics throughout the region:

  • A 94-bed community hospital featuring emergency medicine, acute care, hospitalist services, critical care, and a Level III Trauma Center equipped to provide rapid, advanced trauma care.

  • A 25-bed critical access hospital offering emergency services, diagnostic imaging, lab services, rehabilitation, respiratory therapy, and comprehensive substance abuse treatment including medication-assisted and behavioral therapies.

  • A 25-bed acute care hospital providing inpatient medical, surgical, and detoxification services alongside emergency care, cardiac rehabilitation, and specialty outpatient clinics covering cardiology, infusion, nephrology, neurology, women’s health, pediatrics, and primary care.
