Due to two internal promotions, weâre looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead heavy highway and civil construction projects from start to finish.
As Project Manager, youâll oversee all phases of civil construction projects, ensuring theyâre completed safely, on time, and on budget. You will:
â Analyze project plans and specifications to define scopes of workâ Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resourcesâ Coordinate project teams, including field crews, subcontractors, and vendorsâ Manage contracts, permits, change orders, and purchasingâ Schedule labor, equipment, and materials to maximize efficiencyâ Lead project meetings and communicate with clients, engineers, and inspectorsâ Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standardsâ Track job costs, billing, and financial reportingâ Troubleshoot issues and manage risks proactivelyâ Oversee multiple crews and ensure smooth project execution
To thrive in this role, youâll bring:
â Project Management experience in heavy highway, road, or civil construction with INDOT or ODOT or th equivalent in another stateâ Strong leadership and the ability to manage multiple projects and teamsâ Solid understanding of construction documents, drawings, and specificationsâ Budget, scheduling, and project performance analysis skillsâ Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilitiesâ Tech skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project); familiarity with software like Bluebeam, OnStation, or ITAP is a plusâ A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites (within a 125-mile radius)â Ability to split time between office and field (about 50/50)â Willingness to work extended hours, including some nights and Saturdays as projects require
You will also bring:⢠Bachelorâs degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field peferred⢠5-8 years of relevant project management experience
