Due to two internal promotions, we’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead heavy highway and civil construction projects from start to finish.
As Project Manager, you’ll oversee all phases of civil construction projects, ensuring they’re completed safely, on time, and on budget. You will:
âś… Analyze project plans and specifications to define scopes of workâś… Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resourcesâś… Coordinate project teams, including field crews, subcontractors, and vendorsâś… Manage contracts, permits, change orders, and purchasingâś… Schedule labor, equipment, and materials to maximize efficiencyâś… Lead project meetings and communicate with clients, engineers, and inspectorsâś… Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standardsâś… Track job costs, billing, and financial reportingâś… Troubleshoot issues and manage risks proactivelyâś… Oversee multiple crews and ensure smooth project execution
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
âś” Project Management experience in heavy highway, road, or civil construction with INDOT or ODOT projects requiredâś” Strong leadership and the ability to manage multiple projects and teamsâś” Solid understanding of construction documents, drawings, and specificationsâś” Budget, scheduling, and project performance analysis skillsâś” Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilitiesâś” Tech skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project); familiarity with software like Bluebeam, OnStation, or ITAP is a plusâś” A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites (within a 125-mile radius)âś” Ability to split time between office and field (about 50/50)âś” Willingness to work extended hours, including some nights and Saturdays as projects require
You will also bring:• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field peferred• 5-8 years of relevant project management experience
