Are you an Environmental Tech or a Quality Tech who wants to join a team redefining industrial sustainability—right where it happens. Our client seeks an Environmental Technician to support a major manufacturing partner in Richmond, IN. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll be on-site full-time, driving daily sustainability, compliance, and waste management initiatives that make a real impact.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate on-site waste collection, storage, labeling, and removal
- Inspect for environmental compliance and document corrective actions
- Train plant staff on safe waste handling and cleanup practices
- Schedule and manage all waste pickups in line with state and federal laws
- Recommend process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce risk
What You Bring
- Working knowledge of EHS and waste management practices OR experience as a Quality Technician that will incude inspection and documentation
- Ability to identify hazards and recommend practical solutions a plus
- Strong teamwork, communication, and independent problem-solving skills
- Forklift experience (or willingness to learn)
- High school diploma or GED; 1–3 years’ experience in EHS, waste management, Quality in manufacturing — new grads in EHS or Chemistry encouraged to apply!
- RCRA, DOT, and HAZWOPER certifications a plus
