Director, Commercial Rep Network - HVAC & DHW Systems

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President of Commercial Sales & Marketing, the Director will lead and oversee the Commercial Rep Network strategy, which serves the North American market in HVAC and Domestic Hot Water (DHW) systems. This includes providing strategic sales leadership in support of key company initiatives and enhancing sales team effectiveness to achieve sales and profitability goals.

This role demands exceptional leadership abilities, including coaching and mentorship for a team of sales professionals. The position will ensure our customers experience world-class performance in sales, service, new product introductions, and product technology. This involves cultivating strong relationships with our customer partners, relevant industry associations, and internal stakeholders.

This is a significant leadership opportunity focused on a major initiative to drive continued market growth. The individual will also be instrumental in expanding our strategic initiatives into new markets through organic growth or acquisitions. This role is a crucial member of the Commercial Business Strategy Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify market potential and develop strategies to increase sales and market share.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales and profitability targets.
  • Provide strategic leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the sales team to enhance their effectiveness through continuous improvement and sales talent development.
  • Increase customer mindshare by collaborating with product marketing on networking, education, and channel development activities.
  • Support the Region Managers with the necessary tools to effectively monitor and develop both existing and new manufacturers' representatives.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to cross-functional team members to improve service delivery to commercial customers.
  • Develop a network of strategic trade allies and market influencers to support market development initiatives.
  • Create annual sales budgets and contribute to the development of market and product strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Strong presentation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • 10 years of technical sales team leadership and/or market development experience with a proven track record of sales growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage at all levels within an organization (both internal and external).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Education:

  • BA/BS in a technical or business-related field of study.
