Our client, an AmLaw 100 national law firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join their growing Technology Transactions Practice Group. This team represents innovative biotechnology, pharmaceutical, digital health, and technology companies—including early-stage startups and global market leaders—on complex licensing, collaboration, and commercial partnering arrangements. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with founders and scientific leadership developing cutting-edge therapeutics, diagnostics, digital health solutions, and AI-driven life sciences technologies.
Candidate Profile

JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
-
Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing, or the ability to obtain timely bar admission

2–4 years of substantive experience in licensing, collaboration, or commercial partnering transactions
- Significant experience representing life sciences companies, including biotechs and pharmaceutical companies, in patent licensing, R&D collaborations, commercial agreements, and strategic partnerships
- Familiarity with U.S. regulatory considerations applicable to the development of novel therapeutics, vaccines, diagnostics, and digital health technologies
- Experience working with AI-native or AI-enhanced biotech companies is a plus
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex, high-value transactions
- Superior written and oral communication abilities and strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide practical, business-focused guidance to scientific and executive stakeholders
Key Responsibilities

Draft, negotiate, and advise on complex licensing, collaboration, joint development, and commercial partnering agreements in the life sciences sector

Represent clients developing advanced therapeutics, diagnostics, digital health solutions, and AI-driven R&D technologies

Support strategic transactions related to clinical development, regulatory pathways, commercialization, supply, and distribution
- Collaborate with colleagues across corporate, IP, regulatory, and patent prosecution teams to provide integrated advice
- Engage directly with founders, scientists, and business leaders at fast-growing life sciences and technology companies

Conduct diligence on IP and technology assets and assess associated regulatory and commercial risks

Stay current on industry trends, regulatory updates, scientific advances, and best practices in life sciences transactions

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Salary: Annual base compensation of $235,000 – $310,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and location
