Responsibilities

Assist licensed occupational therapists in evaluating patients and developing appropriate treatment plans.
Implement therapeutic interventions and techniques as directed by the occupational therapist.
Monitor patient progress and document changes accurately in the patient's record.
Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques and home exercise programs.
Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment, ensuring all equipment is functional and sanitized.
Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and align rehabilitation efforts.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning discussions regarding patient progress and goals.

Requirements

Must have home health experience
Must have a state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of various therapeutic practices and the ability to adapt treatment plans to meet patient needs.
Physical stamina and strength to assist patients in rehabilitation activities and transport mobility aids.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in occupational therapy practices.
