Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Operations Manager

 

Job Summary:

Perform repairs, maintains equipment, systems, and facility.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

·       Repairs: Fixing equipment, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems

·       Inspections: Conducting routine building inspections and confirming safety standards

·       Record keeping: Maintaining accurate records of repairs and equipment

·       Troubleshooting: Using remote diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and fix problems

·       Disassembly and reassembly: Taking apart equipment to remove damaged components and reassembling it after repairs

·       Cleaning and lubrication: Ensuring that equipment parts are free of dirt, dust, and other contaminants

·       Responding to reports: Addressing tenant reports of maintenance issues

·       Scheduling repairs: Working with building occupants to schedule major repairs

·       Liaising with specialists: Working with external contractors and specialists

·       Assist in multiple areas with work on focused projects and training initiatives.

·       Prioritize projects and communicate to resolve any issues.

·       Collaborate and work with safety team to complete safety related projects in a timely manner.

·       Define and adhere to regularly scheduled safety audits to ensure practices are maintained and contribute to successful safety compliance.

·       Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

·       Performs other related duties/projects as assigned.

·       Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings – Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.

 

Education and Experience:

·       High school diploma or GED.

·       Previous work experience in IT and maintenance/operations support.

·       Any related educations and/or certifications preferred.

*Benefits are available to full-time employees working a minimum of 32 hours per week.

 

Physical Requirements:

·       Bending and stooping for long periods of time.

·       Sitting and standing for long periods of time.

·       Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.

·       Lifting over head up to 30 lbs. on a frequent basis.

·       Pushing and pulling on a continuous basis.
