Job Overview

The Electrical Engineer, P.E., will design and manage electrical power systems, including single-line diagrams, wiring layouts, and circuitry designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards. This position involves coordinating with clients, vendors, and project teams, reviewing vendor drawings, and delivering construction documents for diverse projects.

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical power systems, including single-line diagrams, wiring layouts, and circuitry, to meet project requirements and industry standards.
  • Coordinate electrical system designs with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compatibility and compliance with applicable codes.
  • Review vendor drawings for specifications, dimensional accuracy, and compatibility with assemblies and components.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project teams to develop coordinated design solutions.
  • Prepare construction documents, including schedules and specifications, adhering to drafting and company standards.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on electrical and control design deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor project budgets and schedules, coordinating with other disciplines to meet deadlines.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during project execution and client interactions.
  • Travel occasionally to support project needs and site visits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering technology field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the state of practice required.
  • 6–8 years of experience with an engineering consulting firm, focusing on electrical power system design.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD design software.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to self-assess work and maintain a high level of accuracy.
