Take ownership of IT for a small, fast-paced design company (~75 employees)!

We're looking for a hands-on IT generalist ready to run the entire IT operation — from strategy to support. This is an onsite role in Hartford, CT — ideal for someone local or willing to relocate. 

What You’ll Do:

• Own and manage all IT infrastructure, hardware, and software
• Partner with leadership to plan and implement IT upgrades and strategy
• Maintain and secure Windows & Linux servers, networking, and end-user devices
• Provide desktop & network support — you're the go-to person for all things IT
• Ensure security compliance (NIST 800-171, ITAR)
• Automate and optimize systems using scripting or tools like Ansible
• Support SQL databases and light programming

What You Bring:

• Strong networking & infrastructure experience (relevant certifications are a plus)
• Linux & Windows server skills
• Familiarity with ITAR & NIST 800-171 compliance
• Scripting/automation skills (Java, Python, Bash, Ansible)
• Comfortable owning the IT area and working with minimal direction
• Bonus: Experience with engineering tools like SolidWorks, ANSYS, MATLAB
• Local to Hartford, CT or willing to relocate
• US Citizen or Green Card Holder (ITAR Compliance)
