\nPerform a full range of diagnostic procedures with precision and accuracy
\nConduct quality control testing on imaging equipment
\nReview physician orders for appropriateness
\nPrepare patients and administer radiopharmaceuticals

\nAcquire and process images using gamma cameras, PACS, and nuclear medicine management systems

\nOrder, prepare, and calculate doses of radiopharmaceuticals
\nManage Tc99m kits and bulk supplies
\nEnsure quality control and compliance with sterile technique
\nRadioactive Material Management
\nOversee ordering, receiving, distributing, and storage of radioactive materials and waste
\nEnsure compliance with departmental, hospital, and New York State regulations
\nTherapeutic Nuclear Medicine
\nCoordinate with referring offices and radiologists for therapy planning
\nEnsure all pre-testing and documentation is complete
\nAdminister therapeutic doses safely while following all radiation safety precautions
\nMobile Nuclear Cardiology
\nTravel to physician offices across NY and PA using a mobile gamma camera system
\nSafely transport, set up, and operate equipment in varied environments
\nWork independently alongside physicians, nurses, and patients
\nPatient Care
\nProvide compassionate, age-appropriate care for neonates through geriatrics
\nMaintain patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures
\nCompliance & Education
\nParticipate in accreditation activities and departmental policy compliance
\nMaintain continuing education credits and required certifications
\nAttend annual training and educational programs
\nCustomer Service
\nDemonstrate excellent patient interaction skills by providing care in a friendly, professional, and attentive manner
\nSupport a positive patient experience throughout the diagnostic process
\nCurrent certification or eligibility for certification in Nuclear Medicine by NMTCB or ARRT
\nFormal 2- or 4-year degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology (preferred)
\nEligibility for New York State Nuclear Medicine Technologist licensure
\nValid driver’s license and insurability
\nBLS certification (required within 90 days of hire)
\nExperience: One year preferred, but motivated new graduates will be considered.
