CNC Lead Programmer

Are you a highly skilled CNC professional with a passion for precision machining? We are seeking an experienced and motivated CNC Lead Programmer to take charge of our CNC MILL/TURN department, overseeing six FANUC-controlled machines dedicated to machining stainless steel and high-performance alloys. Key Responsibilities

  • Production Planning: Organize and oversee daily production schedules to meet quality and efficiency targets.
  • Programming & CAD/CAM: Create programs using MasterCam, Fusion 360, and SolidWorks, and generate CAD models for production and customers.
  • Setup & Optimization: Develop programs, setup sheets, and fixtures for new products, ensuring efficient machining processes.
  • On-the-Fly Adjustments: Edit G & M code directly on the shop floor to optimize production.
  • Fixture Design & Modification: Design, modify, and repair fixtures to support production needs.
  • Quality Assurance: Supervise and inspect setups and first-article parts, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and medical device manufacturing standards.
  • Technical Support: Serve as a liaison between management and customers, providing expert technical guidance and solutions.
  • Prototype Development: Lead prototype machining and process development for new products.
  • Critical QC Oversight: Take charge of quality control for high-precision components, ensuring adherence to tight tolerances (+/- .0005").

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in CNC programming, setup, and operation (Citizen, Haas and Eurotech machines). 
  • Expertise with FANUC controls on CNC mills and lathes.
  • Extensive experience machining stainless steel (304, 316L, 17-4PH, 465, 420), Inconel 718, and BioDur 108.
  • Strong CAD/CAM skills (MasterCam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks).
  • Proficiency in editing G & M code for real-time programming adjustments.
  • Experience with quality control standards and ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Attention to detail required for medical device manufacturing.
