Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose a range of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment programs tailored to each student's needs.
  • Provide insightful counseling to students and their families about assessment results and treatment plans.
  • Set clear treatment goals and expectations with students and their support networks.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all student interactions and progress.
  • Delegate responsibilities to support staff as needed, ensuring all activities meet state guidelines.
  • Collaborate with staff and external agencies to support student progress.
  • Refer students to specialists in dentistry, psychology, or relevant fields when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Current SLP certification required by the start of employment.
  • Possession of CPR certification, a valid TB skin test, auto insurance, and a driver’s license.
  • Minimum educational requirement: Associate degree or completion of a Speech-Language Pathology certificate program.
  • Experience in the field is preferred but not essential; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
