Electrical/Automation Superintendent

Job Summary:We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Electrical/Automation Superintendent to lead the electrical department at a large-scale production facility. In this role, you’ll oversee plant electrical infrastructure and team members while ensuring the department runs safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable codes.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead, organize, and oversee daily operations of the electrical department

  • Train and support your team in safe electrical practices and procedures

  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to solve problems and support production goals

  • Ensure electrical systems are regularly maintained and compliant with current codes

  • Provide your team with the tools, resources, and direction needed to be successful

  • Identify and resolve issues that cause downtime—and work to prevent them from recurring

  • Develop team members through coaching and succession planning

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older

  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Active Master Electrician License or equivalent education/experience

  • Strong background in power systems, automation, and controls (especially Allen Bradley / Square D)

  • Experience with diagnostic tools and electrical system testing

  • Familiar with NEC standards and AutoCAD

  • At least 5 years of experience managing electrical/automation teams in a manufacturing environment

  • Comfortable working independently and communicating effectively in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electrician license in the state of Missouri a Plus

  • Hands-on experience with automation or robotics

  • AS or BS in Engineering

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a Plus

Skills You Bring to the Table:

  • Expertise in PLC troubleshooting and electrical theory

  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills

  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, and time management

  • Self-motivated with a hands-on leadership approach

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift and move up to 70 lbs occasionally; up to 50 lbs regularly (with assistance/tools)

  • Frequently walk, stand, stoop, kneel, and use hands/arms to operate tools or equipment

  • Must have close, distance, and color vision, with the ability to adjust focus
