Sales Engineer - Geotechnical Products (Eastern U S)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Engineer to join our team, focusing on geotechnical and deep foundation solutions. This position is ideal for a technically sound professional with a background in civil, geotechnical with a passion in manufacturing and supplying heavy civil construction, geotechnical and marine support sectors.
EDUCATION/EXPEREIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Civil, Geotechnical, Mechanical, or Mining Engineering; Construction Management or Industry Experience may also be considered. Experience without an Engineering background will also be considered.
· Member of DFI and/or ADSC.
· Experience with PTI Specifications.
· 5+ years of experience in geotechnical or heavy civil construction industry
· Technical/Engineering sales experience required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Understanding of drilling equipment and installation methods.
· Experience in grout systems including cementitious and chemical grouts.
· Familiarity with deep foundations and earth retention systems.
· Familiarity with production and manufacturing processes of geotechnical products.
· Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
· Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools; estimating software experience is a plus
· Professional Engineering (PE) license is not required but will be considered a plus
· Self-motivated and capable of working independently
· Strong problem-solving and customer service orientation
· Comfortable with frequent travel across the Western U.S.
· Living near a major airport will be considered a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with engineers, contractors, and project owners
· Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations
· Identify project opportunities and provide technical and sales support for geotechnical products, including soil nails, micropiles, strand anchors, self-drilling hollow bars, DCP Anchors, shoring systems, sheet piling, temporary earth retention systems.
· Reading/verification of specifications, engineering take-off, estimation,
· Provide guidance on product coatings (hot-dip galvanized, epoxy)
· Estimate project materials and costs; assist in bid preparation
· Support site services such as pull testing and field coordination
· Collaborate with internal engineering and manufacturing teams
· Travel regionally to meet with clients and visit job sites
