Our client, a dynamic and rapidly expanding law firm located in the Dallas area, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join their team on a permanent, direct-hire basis. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support to a team of attorneys handling complex labor and employment litigation matters. Your duties will encompass a broad range of responsibilities, including managing the litigation lifecycle from initial claims through trial, and assisting with administrative tasks related to terminations and employee grievances.
Preparation and Coordination: Prepare and organize case materials for internal attorneys, outside counsel, and board members of various school districts.
Legal Research and Investigation: Conduct thorough legal research and investigations into employment-related claims, including reviewing relevant laws, precedents, and regulations.
Client and Witness Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and witnesses, facilitating communication, scheduling interviews, and obtaining necessary case information.
Drafting Legal Documents: Draft, revise, and file pleadings, motions, written discovery requests and responses, and other related legal documents in accordance with court procedures.
Trial Preparation: Assist in trial preparation, including preparing exhibits, deposition summaries, trial binders, and attending pre-trial conferences. Help attorneys prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials.
Witness and Client Interviews: Conduct detailed interviews with clients, witnesses, and experts, summarizing and presenting findings to the legal team.
Document Review and Management: Review and organize both onsite and offsite documents for discovery purposes, ensuring that all evidence is appropriately categorized and prepared for litigation.
E-Discovery: Oversee the management of electronic discovery, utilizing various software platforms to track, review, and organize large volumes of digital documents related to ongoing cases.
Experience: At least 4 years of litigation experience as a Paralegal, with a focus on defense litigation. Experience in Labor & Employment law is highly preferred, though not required.
Skills: Strong research, writing, and communication skills. Proficiency in managing e-discovery platforms and legal case management systems is essential.
Education: Paralegal certification or equivalent educational background in legal studies is required.
Attention to Detail: Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
