Harvest Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise harvest area of the plant.
  • Direct superintendents and managers to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure the plant meets productivity and yield standards.
  • Lead the management team in achieving cost-efficient operations.
  • Oversee the progressive disciplinary action system.
  • Hire and provide ongoing training for management personnel.
  • Communicate daily and long-term objectives to the management team.
  • Address issues with government regulatory personnel.
  • Participate in various teams as needed.
  • Oversee plant department operations in the absence of department heads, including Human Resources, Maintenance, Food Safety, Slaughter, Fabrication, Rendering, Hide Processing, Transportation, Purchasing, and Industrial Safety.

Qualifications:Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of manager experience in a beef harvest plant, preferably on the harvest floor.
  • Passion for learning and willingness to develop new skills.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience handling complex managerial situations.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
