Position: Maintenance Supervisor - Harvest
Summary:The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations and must have a working knowledge of general maintenance, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical and electronic systems, and welding techniques (TIG, STICK). This role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, while strictly adhering to safety protocols, Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise up to 10 team members and ensure timely completion of daily tasks and paperwork
Organize and implement mechanical and engineering projects
Complete daily preventive maintenance tasks and ensure documentation is accurate
Maintain production line equipment in proper working condition
Support other departments such as Production and Quality when necessary
Follow GMPs and all safety protocols consistently
Set up, inspect, test, and tear down machinery as needed
Listen for unusual machine sounds to detect malfunctions and coordinate repairs
Dismantle and repair machinery or install new components
Lubricate and clean machinery parts such as shafts, gears, and bearings
Maintain the facility’s physical structures

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role
High school diploma or GED required
At least 5 years of experience in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external contractors
Proficient in operating forklifts, genie lifts, scissor lifts, and other PITs
Capable of reading and executing work orders and equipment manuals
Able to work independently and communicate in English
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a fast-paced industrial or meat processing environment
Formal leadership training
Technical or vocational degree in maintenance or a related field
Bilingual fluency in Spanish, Karenni, French, or Creole
3–5 years of supervisory experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Plumbing, welding, and industrial electrical systems
Mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system knowledge
Physical Demands:
Occasionally lift/move up to 75 pounds
Regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds using appropriate methods
Frequent standing, walking, reaching, handling tools, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and speaking
Must have close, distance, and color vision, with the ability to adjust focus
