Our client has asked us to source out this newly created position of Director of Sales and Marketing (Business Head) for their large, progressive, Supply Chain/Export company. This role will support the Retail division in North America out of their Mississauga, ON location. The person we are looking for is adaptable, successful, and experienced in Sales and Business Management. As they increase their market share, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of their expansion into the North American retail market. To excel in this role, you need to be highly motivated, possess a passion for learning and engaging with people, and have a strong desire to build a thriving business.

Details:

·        Monday-Friday, onsite.
·        Up to $150K salary based on qualifications + BONUS.

Director of Sales and Marketing (Business Head) Responsibilities:
 
·        You will be responsible for overseeing all sales and business management operations within the company.
·        Collaborate with senior management to establish annual sales and expense budgets.
·        Provide regular reporting on sales and marketing activities at all locations on an ongoing basis, and other presentations as requested.
·        Set performance goals, such as sales and profit margins, in consultation with the COO.
·        Develop and implement strategic planning, including market and competitive analysis, customer segment selection and penetration plans, and related product positioning.
·        Create demand generation and lead generation marketing programs.
·        Oversee and manage marketing requirements for retail, including branding, advertising, white papers, trade shows, seminars and events collateral materials, analyst and market research management.
·        Oversee product management, including market and customer research for market and product requirements, interface with engineering for product development, product pricing, and product lifecycle management.
·        Identify and develop strategic alliances, raise venture/public financing, communicate with members, and close/grow major customer accounts in collaboration with the Director of Sales & Marketing, COO, and other executive team members.
·        Develop and implement quarterly and/or annual sales plans, policies, and programs for all sales representatives and business development managers.
·        Analyze sales performance against corporate objectives and market developments to manage and adjust sales strategies as needed.
·        Develop and implement distribution strategies, reselling agreements, and other growth opportunities.
·        Develop, manage, and cultivate new business accounts and partnerships in order to achieve profit and volume objectives.
·        Strengthen relationships with key business partners to maximize benefits.
·        Conduct regular analysis on pricing effectiveness and recurring trends, and create actionable item lists based on the findings.
·        Create product segmentation strategies, where needed, to maximize business opportunities across various sales channels.

Requirements:  

·        7 years of experience within a similar Sr. Managerial role
·        A bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing or a related field is required.
o   An M.B.A Post Graduate Degree is preferred.
·        7 years of experience in the consumer retail food industry and sales is required.
·        An exceptional track record of developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives is required, along with providing personal leadership through example.
·        An analytical thinker with superior problem-solving skills is required.
