Our client, a successful, medium sized Food manufacturer located in North Mississauga is actively looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. This is a newly created position geared towards someone with an entrepreneurial and mentorship spirit. This is a Very hands-on position that is ideal for someone who has a strong preventative maintenance background within the food manufacturing sector.

 

This person will report directly into the Director of Operations and Director of HR and will oversee a team of 5.

 

Maintenance Supervisor Details:

  • $90,000-$115,000 annual base salary
  • overtime paid for any hours worked on Saturdays
  • Benefits from day 1*
  • 3 Weeks holidays

  • Day shift, Monday to Friday (Flexibility Required, Overtime as Needed)

 

Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Oversee preventive maintenance and repair plans for machines in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.• Adhere to the specified maintenance, repair, and inspection schedules.• Ensure that repairs are completed on schedule, within budget, and in a way that complies with health and safety regulations.• Oversee, mentor, and instruct maintenance personnel.• Takes part in the Health and Safety Committee as an engaged and helpful member.• Verify that all maintenance tasks are carried out in accordance with the company's standards for food safety and quality.• Find, assess, and fix any fault or problem with production machinery.• Able to do maintenance and repairs on all equipment and lift at least fifty pounds.• Assure that safety regulations are upheld and followed at all times.

Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications: • 6+ in the FOOD manufacturing sector as a Maintenance Supervisor or Team Lead• Sound understanding of the mechanical, electrical, and electronic components used in food processing machinery. • Industrial Electrical 442A or Industrial Millwright 433A license an asset.• Strong PM skills (Preventative Maintenance) • Strong Communicator, effectively present instruction and provide mentorship • Strong GMP and SOP of food manufacturing equipment safety regulations.
