Looking for a stable role where your Millwright license makes an impact every day? Our client, a respected food manufacturer in North Mississauga, is hiring a Licensed 433A Millwright for the Afternoon Shift.

In this role, your trade skills keep production moving — from troubleshooting and repairs to preventative maintenance and equipment upgrades, all with safety and efficiency at the forefront

 

Millwright Details:

  • Hourly Rate: $40.00 + $0.50 Afternoon shift premium
  • Shift: Afternoon – Monday to Friday, 2:30pm to 11:00pm
    *(Flexibility & overtime as needed)
  • Vacation Time: 4%
  • Benefits: Solid Benefit Plan
  • RRSP Match: Eligible after 3 months; employer matches up to 3% for the first 2 years

 

Millwright Responsibilities:

  • Provide mechanical expertise in installation, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment and production assets
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures; identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Perform routine Preventative Maintenance and complete work orders as assigned
  • Identify high-risk downtime areas in a fast-paced production environment and collaborate to reduce risks
  • Complete maintenance reports and logs as required
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices in all work areas
  • Liaise with other departments within the facility, ensuring effective communication
  • Work effectively in a food processing environment without compromising food safety
  • Adhere to all safety and quality policies and procedures
  • Work within the Maintenance Team and report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor

 

Millwright Qualifications:

  • Valid Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) License – 433A is required
  • Minimum 2+ years of industry working experience as a licensed Millwright
    *Candidates with apprenticeship or equivalent structured training experience are highly valued.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing is highly preferred (bakery/mixers/packaging equipment a bonus)
  • Demonstrated practical, on-the-job application of Millwright skills (beyond classroom/theory).
  • Good understanding of safety and food safety standards
  • Strong troubleshooting ability with an emphasis on reliability and safety
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Capability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
