Our client, a North American leader in packaging with world-class print and production capabilities, is hiring a full-time Quality Manager with food packaging experience to lead and revamp the quality department at their facility. This is a key leadership role focused on elevating quality systems, ensuring compliance, and building a strong, well-trained team to meet and exceed customer and regulatory standards.

Quality Manager Details
• Permanent, full-time position
• Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Salary Range: up to $130,000

Quality Manager Responsibilities
• Lead, mentor, and develop the quality department, ensuring effective training, accountability, and continuous improvement• Oversee all aspects of the Quality Management System, including policies, procedures, audits, and documentation
• Establish and enforce quality standards to ensure all finished products meet customer and regulatory specifications
• Collaborate closely with operations and manufacturing teams to enhance product quality, food safety, and process controls
• Manage internal and external audits, non-conformance investigations, and customer complaint resolutions
• Drive initiatives for root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
• Provide regular reporting on key quality metrics, trends, and improvement plans to senior leadership
• Foster a proactive quality culture and act as a key liaison for customer and supplier quality communications

Quality Manager Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, food science, or engineering field preferred

  • Must have experience with Food Packaging 
    • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in quality or manufacturing (10 years equivalent experience considered)
    • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, GFSI, GMP, and food safety standards
    • Experience leading and restructuring a quality department within a manufacturing or food production environment
    • Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams and mentor staff promoted from within
    • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
