KIT Recruitment
Back to List

Are you a hands-on technician who loves problem-solving, fieldwork, and keeping complex systems running smoothly? We’re looking for a Senior Field Service Technician who thrives on variety — one day you’re fine-tuning a rotary screw compressor, the next you’re performing preventive maintenance at a biogas facility.

This role offers a balanced mix of shop and field work — roughly half your time will be spent at the North York service facility, and the other half at customer sites across Guelph and Woodbridge. You’ll work independently, manage your own schedule, and take pride in ensuring each system runs safely and efficiently.

Senior Field Service Technician Details:

·        $40–$46/hr (up to $48/hr for the right candidate)

·        Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday – occasional on-call rotation for rare night/weekend service

·        Comprehensive health, dental, vision & life insurance

·        RRSP & DPSP contribution plan

·        Company-paid social events, recognition programs, and EAP support

·        Equipped service van, phone, and digital tools, plus paid training, and certifications.

·        Annual tool/boot allowance

·        Positive, growth-oriented work culture

Senior Field Service Technician Responsibilities:

·        Perform daily checks and preventive maintenance on biogas and air compressor systems (rotary screw, piston, and oil-free).

·        Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical faults (compressors, blowers, pumps, scrubbers, filtration systems).

·        Install, start up, and commission new compressed air and gas treatment systems.

·        Maintain detailed service and maintenance logs using mobile software.

·        Manage spare parts inventory and preventive maintenance scheduling.

·        Respond to rare after-hours service calls as part of a rotation.

·        Work safely, follow protocols, and maintain professional relationships with clients.

·        Mentor junior technicians as required.

Senior Field Service Technician Qualifications:

·        3–5+ years’ hands-on experience with compressed air systems or gas/industrial equipment.
·        Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability (knowledge of VFDs, control panels, PLCs is an asset).
·        Valid Ontario driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
·        Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
·        Must pass a clear criminal background check.
·        Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
·        Licensed Millwright or Industrial Electrician (asset, not mandatory)
·        Manufacturer training (e.g., Atlas Copco, Kaeser, Ingersoll Rand) is a strong plus
·        WHMIS, Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, First Aid (preferred)
