Senior Financial Analyst

Our global Manufacturing client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial reporting, commercial performance, and operational insights.

This role acts as the main finance partner to commercial, operations, and supply chain teams—connecting daily performance to financial outcomes and supporting decisions that drive growth.

 

Senior Financial Analyst Details

Senior Financial Analyst Responsibilities

  • Consolidate and analyze monthly financial results for the division.
  • Prepare detailed margin and profitability reporting at the product, customer, and channel levels.
  • Track product mix, yield variances, cost-to-serve, and customer profitability.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting packages highlighting key trends.
  • Provide financial insights supporting pricing, trade spend, and promotional planning.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, cost allocations, and revenue recognition during month-end close.
  • Reconcile key accounts including inventory, COGS, deductions, and rebates.
  • Ensure accurate capture of processing and packaging costs.
  • Collaborate with accounting and operations on standard costing and variance explanations.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting, including assumptions around pricing, volumes, and product mix.
  • Partner with commercial teams to forecast sales by customer and channel.
  • Analyze processing yields, production costs, and overhead absorption for efficiency improvements.
  • Evaluate ROI for promotions, new product formats, innovation projects, and capital investments.
  • Build and automate reporting tools for sales, margins, and operational KPIs.

 

Senior Financial Analyst Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA preferred or in progress).
  • 5–7 years of progressive finance or accounting experience.
  • Experience in food processing, or CPG is an asset.
  • Strong financial reporting, product costing, and margin analysis experience.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling capability.
  • Strong communication and business partnering skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
