Our client, a North American leader in packaging with world-class print and production capabilities, is hiring a full-time Electrician to join their Markham, ON facility for the DAY SHIFT.
The company has recently invested in new, advanced equipment and process improvements to enhance reliability, safety, and productivity. They’re seeking an experienced, dependable tradesperson who takes pride in maintaining top-quality machinery in a clean, modern environment.

Position Details

·       Permanent, full-time Onsite in Markham, Ontario

·       Up to $45/hour, depending on experience 

·       Comprehensive benefits after probationary period

·       Two weeks’ vacation

·       Monday–Friday - DAY SHIFT. (8am to 4:30pm)

·       Opportunity to work with new, upgraded electrical systems and packaging equipment

Key Responsibilities

·       Assemble, install, test, and maintain a variety of electrical equipment, components, and fixtures

·       Diagnose and isolate faults in wiring, motors, and control systems

·       Dismantle and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts as needed

·       Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams

·       Mount motors and connect circuits according to specifications

·       Perform inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety and electrical codes

·       Support production teams by reducing downtime through preventative maintenance

·       Document maintenance and repair work, communicating updates clearly to supervisors

·       Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment at all times

Qualifications

·       Valid Electrician License (442A or 309A) required

·       2–4 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting

·       Technical school or skilled trades program completion preferred

·       Solid knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and automation

·       Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately

·       Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, maintenance tracking systems)

·       Ideal candidates must have a stable work history and strong work ethic
