Our client, a North American leader in packaging with world-class print and production capabilities, is hiring two full-time Millwrights to join their Markham, ON facility.

These roles focus on supporting production through hands-on maintenance of advanced packaging machinery. One position is available on the day shift (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.), and the other on the afternoon shift (3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.).

 

Position Details

  • Permanent, full-time positions
  • Day Shift: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. / Afternoon Shift: 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. (includes a $0.75/hr shift premium)
  • Competitive compensation up to $45/hr*
  • 5% annual bonus
  • Two weeks’ vacation
  • Benefits available after probationary period
  • Work requires use of PPE (hearing protection, safety shoes, eye protection) and the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain machinery, equipment, facilities, systems, and grounds to support continuous production
  • Complete work orders and requests promptly, prioritizing critical repairs and minimizing downtime
  • Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire systems
  • Schedule repairs and installations to reduce disruption to production flow
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external specialists for complex maintenance tasks
  • Document all work performed and provide progress updates, schedules, and completion status
  • Follow all company safety protocols and use required PPE at all times

 

Qualifications

  • Valid 433A Millwright License required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred
  • 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, preferably within corrugated or flexible packaging machinery
  • Candidates from the food packaging industry (manufacturing packaging, not food products) are encouraged to apply
  • Experience with Weber, Holweg, or Triumph T2 equipment is a strong asset
  • Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Effective communication skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, dust, and varying temperatures
