Job Overview

We are looking for a developer to join the team to support the DOT’s Office of Airline Information (OAI).  We need someone with a minimum of 6+ year experience who has a strong understanding of Sybase ASE/IQ and can maintain existing applications and develop new applications as needed. The candidate will be able to work remotely so they must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Enhance and maintain existing OAI Sybase databases.
  • Develop applications in .NET.
  • Develop visualization regarding OAI data using Tableau.
  • Develop and maintain Crystal Reports.
  • Advises on technical database problems, priorities, and methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 6-7 overall years experience in IT systems including:
  • Min 5 years of RDBMS experience ( Sybase ASE, Sybase IQ preferable) – Admin and Developer.
  • Min 5 years of shell scripting experience(Linux preferable).
  • Min 4-5 years of experience in .Net Development and 1-2 years of Tableau experience.
  • 1- 2 years of Crystal reports experience.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • Transportation knowledge is preferable

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Science, Business, Information Technology or Computer Science or related field.
  • In order to meet the clearance requirements for this opportunity, the candidate must be eligible to work in the United States and should have resided in the US for at least 3 years.
