The Bridges Foreman plays a vital role in overseeing construction projects, ensuring the field crew and subcontractors complete all work safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. They are hands-on in building structures, manage daily operations, and keep projects on track.

In this role, the Foreman prioritizes safety by leading by example, educating the team, and enforcing best practices and company policies. They determine the right crew size and equipment needed to keep costs in line with estimates, order materials promptly to avoid delays, and use weekly planning meetings to stay ahead. With a strong grasp of budgets, costs, contract drawings, and specifications, they guide the team to build accurately and efficiently. The Foreman keeps work organized—finishing one task fully before moving on, maintaining a tidy site, and documenting any extra work for review. They also ensure company tools and vehicles are well-maintained, manage rental equipment wisely, and submit daily reports like timesheets and diaries on time.

Collaboration is key: they work smoothly with other foremen and team members, spot and address safety risks (like falls or excavation issues), and ensure everyone uses safety gear correctly. They also keep customers happy through clear communication and coordinate with contractors to align on goals.

To qualify, candidates need 5+ years as a Foreman, with specific experience in bridge construction—think structural concrete, forming, pouring, and finishing. They should have led crews of 4 or more, be adept at reading plans and schedules, and excel at giving clear directions. A deep understanding of job-site safety, plus skills in record-keeping and reporting, are essential. A valid driver’s license is a must, along with the flexibility to take on additional tasks as needed.
