Title: Controller – Automotive Dealership Group | NYC Five Boroughs | OTE $150K–$175K

Overview:
Our client, a privately owned and long-established automotive group operating across the five boroughs of New York City, is seeking an experienced Automotive Controller to oversee accounting operations for two high-volume Asian import dealerships.

About the Role:
The Controller will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting, while leading and developing an eight-person accounting team. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on improving departmental processes, reporting accuracy, and cross-training for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Oversee accounting operations for two Asian import dealerships.

·        Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and daily reporting.

·        Supervise, train, and develop an eight-member accounting staff.

·        Maintain compliance with internal controls and manufacturer reporting standards.

·        Collaborate closely with ownership and senior management.

Qualifications:

·        Proven experience as an Automotive Controller or Office Manager in a franchised dealership.

·        Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.

·        Proficiency with Reynolds & Reynolds (experience with other DMS systems acceptable).

·        Ability to improve processes, accuracy, and reporting timeliness.

Compensation:

·        On-Target Earnings: $150,000–$175,000 annually (based on experience and performance).
