Job Title: Staff Accountant

Job Description:

Our client, a consumer goods industry leader is seeking a Staff Accountant who excels not only in number crunching but also as a big thinker, creative problem solver, and team player. The Staff Accountant position is Temporary to Hire and starts ASAP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform intermediate accounting functions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Prepare month-end journal entries, including intercompany entries, inventory account adjustments, and prepaid expense amortizations.
• Analyze and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Process invoices for shipped orders.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding the company’s financial information.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of related accounting experience.
• Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Ability to maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in ways that foster good relationships with colleagues and external partners.
