Salary: $325,000 - $450,000, plus performance-based bonuses

Job Description:

This role is a rare opportunity for a seasoned associate to handle high-end, complex financing transactions. Your work will be a mix of representing both borrowers and lenders, providing you with a holistic view of the debt finance landscape. You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating a broad range of documents, including collateral agreements, disclosure schedules, loan amendments, and other critical transaction documents. The role's focus includes asset-based loans, structured financing, securitizations, and warehouse loans. You will be a key player in managing transactions from inception to closing, coordinating with both internal teams and external counsel to ensure seamless execution. This is a chance to apply your expertise on a range of matters that shape the financial markets.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.

  • Active membership in the Washington, DC Bar (or ability to waive in).

  • A minimum of 5 years of legal experience in debt finance within a large law firm setting.

  • Demonstrated experience with asset-based loans, structured financing, and/or securitizations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience representing both borrowers and lenders in sophisticated debt financing deals.

  • Exceptional project management and drafting skills, with a keen eye for detail.

  • A strong background in a specific niche within debt finance, such as warehouse loans.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to lead client-facing interactions.
