Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at our client’s San Diego, CA office.

Known for delivering personalized attention and top-tier legal support, they are expanding their team and seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal who can provide comprehensive support to attorneys from case intake through trial and settlement. The firm offers a collaborative environment and opportunities for meaningful case involvement.
Job Description
- Draft letters of representation and notify lienholders
- Input and manage case data in the case management system
- Calendar deadlines, serve legal documents, and research party information
- Identify and request medical records and billing from providers
- Act as primary point of contact for clients; maintain regular communication
- Draft complaints, discovery requests and responses, and other pleadings
- Assist in retaining experts and coordinating examinations
- Track discovery, pretrial, and trial deadlines
- Prepare settlement demands and mediation briefs
- Organize exhibits and assist in preparing for depositions, mediations, and trials
- Manage settlement logistics, including releases, accounting, and distribution
- Prepare documentation for minors' compromises and case closure
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of litigation paralegal experience, including work on personal injury cases
- Associate or bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
- Strong understanding of civil procedure, court deadlines, and court rules
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel); familiarity with eDiscovery platforms (e.g., Relativity) and trial software (e.g., Trial Director) is a plus
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Must handle confidential and emotionally sensitive information with discretion
