This position is ideal for a local Legal Assistant with 2+ years of experience who thrives in a small, dynamic and growing legal setting. Candidates with relevant experience in professional services industries (e.g., public accounting, consulting, engineering, or marketing) may also be considered.
Provide superior client service, acting as a liaison between clients and attorneys via email, phone, and in-person communication
Follow up with clients on case status, appointments, and billing
Handle potential clients professionally and confidently
Work collaboratively with attorneys and legal assistants
Prepare correspondence, agreements, employee handbooks, and legal documents
Manage attorneys’ calendars, schedule court dates, depositions, and client meetings
Ensure timely court filings and assist attorneys in preparation for court appearances
Organize and maintain paper and electronic client files
Contribute to process improvement and documentation standards
Demonstrate problem-solving skills and work proactively
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
2+ years of recent legal assistant experience (or experience in a similar professional services setting)
Experience scheduling depositions, managing calendars, handling expenses, and creating expense reports
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, legal software, dictation/transcription tools, and document management systems
Familiarity with employment law and legal terminology is preferred
Strong interpersonal skills—confident, trustworthy, and dependable
