An elite investment funds team is seeking a Managing or Senior Associate with 4–7 years of experience in private fund formation to join its New York City office. This role is ideal for an attorney with deep experience in the venture capital and growth equity ecosystem, looking to work with some of the most innovative and active fund managers in the market.
Advise clients on the formation, structuring, and operation of venture capital and growth equity funds
Draft and negotiate fund offering documents, management agreements, side letters, and investor communications
Guide emerging and established sponsors on regulatory, compliance, and investor-related matters
Collaborate with cross-office teams to support GP-led transactions, fund closings, and capital deployment strategies
Manage complex fund-side work while mentoring junior team members
4–7 years of experience focused on private fund formation and investment management
Substantive experience representing venture capital and growth equity funds
Bar admission in New York required
Strong academic credentials and a high level of motivation and professionalism
Excellent drafting, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Salary range: $310,000 – $420,000, depending on experience and qualifications
Eligibility for annual discretionary bonuses based on firm and individual performance
